Chicago Rush to debut 10th anniversary commemorative uniforms
Wednesday January 19, 2011
CHICAGO (January 17, 2011) – The Chicago Rush announced today that the team will be wearing commemorative uniforms throughout 2011 in celebration of its 10th anniversary season. The uniforms will feature two distinct patches which highlight the team’s history.
The Rush have created a retro logo which unites the past and present logos of the team. The design pays tribute to the historic beginnings of the Chicago Rush as a charter franchise, known as the Chicago Bruisers, which was originally formed in 1987. Bruiser the bulldog, the team’s original mascot, is featured in the retro design which will be worn on the alternate black home game jerseys set to be debuted on March 18th during the 2011 home opener. The home opener will feature a “Black Out” event in which Rush fans will be encouraged to join the team in wearing all black.
In addition, the Rush have designed a modern, commemorative logo which will be worn on the team’s white and navy jerseys. This logo honors the team’s 10 successful seasons in the Arena Football League in which the Chicago Rush have made nine straight playoff appearances and have been recognized as the Arena Football Organization of the Year.
Chicago Rush fans can join the team and celebrate the 10th anniversary season by purchasing an authentic, commemorative jersey at ArenaRush.com. Jerseys are available for a limited-time and can be personalized.
