Following a disappointing loss against the Jacksonville Sharks last weekend, the Philadelphia Soul bounced back against Tampa Bay with a 71-27 win. The Soul’s defense tortured the Storm all night long, with two sacks coming from defensive end Bryan Robinson, and two interceptions from James Romain.

TAMPA (May 23, 2015) – The Philadelphia Soul (8-1) got an outstanding individual performance from Joe Goosby, while the entire Soul defense shut down the Tampa Bay Storm (3-5) to cruise to an 71-27 victory in front of 13,421 fans at Amalie Motor Oil Field at Amalie Arena on Saturday night. The 44-point victory marked the worst loss in Tampa Bay’s 28-year team history.

The Philadelphia Soul (7-1) look to bounce back in Week 9 after their first loss of the season against the Jacksonville Sharks (3-5). The Soul will face the Tampa Bay Storm in their back-to-back road game series on Saturday, May 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the Amaile Arena.

The Tampa Bay Storm (3-4, 1-1) takes on the Philadelphia Soul (7-1, 2-0) this Saturday, May 23, at AMALIE Arena on “Military Appreciation Night.” A win would put the Storm back at a .500 record. All tickets purchased for the May 22nd contest will be honored on the newly scheduled day of May 23rd. Kickoff is still set for 7:30 p.m. EST.
