Talons Fail to Contain Powerful Shock Offense

The San Antonio Talons (4-5) fell to the Spokane Shock (7-3) 48-61 in front of a crowd of 7,961 at the Alamodome on Friday night. After an evening plagued by 20 flags and losing Nick Hill only minutes into the first quarter, Xavier Lee stepped up by completing 22- of- 48 passes for 237 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. Lee made his mark on the night by converting 5 of 7 fourth downs giving San Antonio numerous opportunities to catch the aggressive Shock offense. The Talons suffered their first loss in three games, and failed to rise above .500 for the first time this season.

The Spokane Shock (7-3) won their second straight game with a 61-48 win over the San Antonio Talons (4-5) at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX. Shock quarterback Erik Meyer accounted for 9 touchdowns on the day (7 passing, 2 rushing) while Adron Tennell recorded 12 receptions for 177 yards and 4 scores.

San Antonio hosts Spokane on Military Appreciation Night

The San Antonio Talons (4-4) are looking to extend their winning streak against the Spokane Shock (6-3), Friday night at the Alamodome. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 CST, as the Talons look to carry the momentum back to their home turf and capture their third straight victory on Military Appreciation Night. Last week, the Talons defeated the Cleveland Gladiators 57-33 and reached the .500 mark for the first time this season. The victory put them in first place in the Central Division, but the Talons know that they must remain focused.
