The Spokane Shock defeated the Philadelphia Soul 75-54 in front of a national television audience on the NFL Network Friday night. QB Erik Meyer made his first AFL-start and helped lead Spokane to its highest point total of the season. Meyer, who was selected as the game’s National Guard MVP, jumped started Spokane’s offense scoring the first touchdown of the game with a quick strike to WR Markee White.

The Philadelphia Soul (5-8) had three turnovers and allowed two sacks that stalled their second-half comeback as they lost to the Spokane Shock (5-7) in front of 8,972 fans at Spokane Arena on Friday night in a battle between the last two ArenaBowl champions.
