In 2006, the AFL Historical Committee selected Eddie Brown as the Greatest Player in AFL History, with Barry Wagner coming in at number two. Five seasons later, the Silver Anniversary Committee again selected Brown and Wagner as the top two players in League history, but the order has changed.

Biography
Played two years at Louisiana Tech and recorded 76 receptions for 1,126 yards and 9 touchdowns. Also had 25 kickoff returns for 504 yards and 1 touchdown, 28 punt returns for 398 yards and 1 touchdown and 6 rushes for 60 yards and 1 touchdown. As a junior was ranked 17th in the nation in punt returns with 11.81 yards per return. Transferred from Fort Scott Community College in Kansas where he was all conference and NJCAA honorable mention All-American. He had career totals of 67 receptions for 1,375 yards and 16 touchdowns. Eddie makes his home in Albany, NY where he is a teacher and coaches junior varsity football and freshman basketball at Shaker High School.
