>>It's official! The High Country Grizzlies will be playing in the American Arena League in the upcoming 2018 season! 🇺🇸 For more information on the AAL, visit highcountrygrizzlies.com. #GoGrizzlies<<

No surprise - called this out a few days ago in the Richmond RoughRider thread. Too small for NAL. too close to AAL teams. NAL down to 6 teams (sans any new expansion)

Rumors maybe that IFL gunning for Monterrey Steel as well. We'll see. NAL likely needs to work with IFL if they keep losing team.

I'm not surprised on the IFL gunning for the Steel, considering that the Steel had an unbalanced schedule last season, and the IFL wants 8 teams... plus, the IFL tends to cater to QBs who can run... like Bernard Morris...

IFL for Steel may just be puff. But either league Monterrey will be flying. IFL teams don't want that. So we'll see.

I was doubting on HC going back to last season. Its a small small market.

NAL may just be better off with a 6 team solid league. 12 Games with Georgia having more away then home giving Monterrey and Jax an extra home game. Focus on making NJ successful and getting Georgia firmed up for 2019.

Then they can consider a merger with IFL post 2018 and have 2 separate divisions that play mostly independent schedules and meet in playoffs. Or just expand on East Coast.

If only the Screaming Eagles did sign Greg Hardy so that Jacoby Jones could juke the kracken out like it was an NFL game from 2012

That's what you get for letting fans make player personnel and Busniess decisions. - Fanchise is a horrible concept.

Article also confirms Atlanta Havoc's entry in the league, playing at a high school arena apparently from what I've been able to gather.

I'm not impressed with AAL quality at all.

An IFL-NAL merger should happen and it makes more sense then merging with CIF because the pay gap isn't large among other things.

The IFL and NAL could also operate as semi-separate leagues with the only meeting being in the postseason... they could also add the nets and/or the deuce to the merged league...

They could meet in a Super Bowl similar to what the NFL and AFL did in the 60s. That would be really cool IMO.

IFL owners will not be business partners with Jax. Ain't gonna' happen. Jax desperately wanted into the IFL, as soon as AZ fell into place and there was alot of discussion. Bottom line? Wasn't going to occur. Don't see it in the future either. But one never says never, correct? As for a team from Mexico in the IFL? Funny.

Maybe last year when the IFL had 10 teams including the former AFl/AF2 Spokane along with large mkt SLC. But they lost 5 teams and were on the brink. Business is Business. Jax is a larger mkt team, former AFL franchise and averages close to 9k a game. They are an asset to any league, esp sub-AFL.

AZ is a flight waya from all the other IFL teams and is apparently subsidizing travel to their home games. I would imagine Jax would be similar.

I'm not saying it will happen. Considering the NAL first season and J Bouchy's recent interview (9/20/17) I see him working to build the NAL into a high quality league. But if fortunes change - this would be relooked at by both parties. Just IMO.
