On October 2-3 the Indoor Football League will meet to discuss the 2018 season
Could the Fate of the two project franchise teams the Colorado Crush and the Salt Lake Screaming Eagles be decided then?

these teams are no more, these teams have ceased to be. Expired and gone to meet their maker... they're bereft of life...

and no, they're not pining for the fjords, but Colorado did have wonderful plumage.

Pretty sure they have already met their fate. They have folded and ceased operations. They are done.

Yes the Crush will be back I'm at Michael Allshouse's home right now setting up for the meeting in his garage. He just told me to add one folding chair to the six I already took down from the attic. I just need to find the extra card table and we'll be set.

After I'm done here I'll be going to the AFL CBA negotiations being held at the Golden Corral in las vegas. I hear Soto loves the fondue fountain. more to follow...

The Crush have been dead since 2008. The Ice never deserved that name and nobody will miss them.

Does anyone have a creditable source on the Crush return and if they do return will Project Franchise own the team.

I'll say this: If the Crush return for 2018, they will not be owned by Project FANchise... I hope another team (Tri-Cities? Tucson? Spokane under a new owner?) can start operations if the Crush don't return, to keep the league at an even number of teams....

I don't care what anyone else thinks, but in my opinion, that's some funny stuff right there. Very Happy

Check your sources, mine said the Arena league couldn't afford Golden Corral, and McDonald's doesn't have a fondue fountain. My anonymous, high-quality source said negotiations will likely be delayed until September 31st.

I find this thread of what restaurant the AFL would go to highly amusing, since when I was working with the league in 2001 the main All-Staff ArenaBowl "dinner" was at Big Boy.

Which, was kind of notable at the time since Big Boy does kind of resemble David Baker.

I think the question I would ask is if Baker tried to get money from Hardee's to pay off Big Boy, then begged Wendy's for cash to pay off Hardee's, then tried to hit up McDonald's to pay off Wendy's, etc., etc. Rolling Eyes

It is very unfortunate. The Crush are done. They have already sold off their equipment and supplies.
