You really know your af2 don't you? Rolling Eyes

Well, I NOW know that we are better because we were leading for a good chunk of the game and were it not for the tie-up in the endzone in the 2nd Quarter and the Eviston fumble, we would have won. The score would look something like 50-40. LEX also had a healthy offense and defense for the first time in a while. We played to our potential and it would have been enough.

It only matters if you are leading at the end. The SuperPonies weren't.

Louisville will not move to AFL until 2010 season, new arena won't be done until then, Fire will be in Freedom Hall and in the duece in 2009. Unless Mississippi Headhunters have found new financial backing, I do not see them as a viable option. The financial backing that was committed toward the team backed out them just before the deadline for the 2008 season. Forcade needs an investor to get Mississippi up and running.

Did Louisville reach an agreement with the AFL Commissioner on this?

My understanding is that the meetings have established a process or path to the AFL but that is all at this point, no signed deals. The Fire owners were in our building early in the season, they said the new downtown arena would not be ready for the 09 season and no move would occur until the arena was ready.

Thanks, Snakes. The af2 won't be the same without Louisville when the team relocates to the AFL in 2010, but I guess that's progress for you.

I know. Sad But everyone watching knew that LOU didn't deserve to win that game.

"SuperPonies" Laughing Where did that come from?

Redo the aligment now without Daytona and without South Georgia because the rumor mill is that they are not returning next year. Their division will need to be revamped. It is a possiblity that Jacksonville team will be in the mix.

If Louisville moves to the AFL it will happen after this season

Yes, take Daytona out of the picture

And rumors are that South Georgia, Quad City, Corpus Christi will fold and The Copperheads will relocate somewhere in Florida

So my alignment, minus Daytona, South Georgia, Albany (they're supposed to fold too), Quad City, Corpus Christi, and the Copperheads moving to Jacksonville: (And apparently Buffalo and Mississippi aren't getting teams either.) That would mean 5 teams folding, 1 team moving, and Milwaukee and maybe Albuquerque getting an expansion team, leaving the league with 26 teams.

The South Georgia Wildcats might move to a city in Florida, so they might just be relocating

Sounds like a winner to me.
