Mac, if you ever read this, I don’t know how you made your flag football schedules without pulling your hair out. Its taken me over 30+ hours over the last week (and 11+ today) to make this schedule. Anyways…

EDIT 1/14/19: Added TV, dates (using the IRL 2000 Calendar, feel free to ignore them; the dates/times/TV for each game serve no purpose other than to show what if AFL 21xx would look like if it was real.

Anyways, if you followed the video game season simulation last summer, this is all you need to know when it come to the TV stuff:

21XX NBC = 20XX Game of the Week
21XX TNN = 20XX Marquee Games
21XX Local TV = 20XX Other Games

Here is a link to a pdf that has all 14 of the individual team schedules so y'all can see who each team plays each week by team.

I have updated and edited the initial schedule post

Off-Season Post Schedule:
December 26th, 2018: Full season schedule
January 14th, 2019 (today as of posting this): Team-by-Team schedules, and edit to the original full season schedule
February 1st, 2019: Rule Changes from 20XX to 21XX
March(ish): full rosters
April(ish): YouTube link for Week 1 Arizona @ Grand Rapids

PS: If you want a pdf of a specific team's schedule, please let me know by either a PM or regular post (just say the team you want and I'll PM a link of that team's schedule to you). Please don't call any of the phone numbers I have in each team's schedules, those are actual numbers that link to either the arena said team would have played in, an NBA/NHL team that actually plays at an arena that one of the teams would have used, or in Atlantic City's case, the actual phone number for the Atlantic County government (I'm not going to change it to the AC AFL number).

I promised I'd make a post in February, (although I didn't say the 1st).

Anyways, here are the rule changes I'm putting to place.

1. As I previously mentioned in the 21xx Preseason thread, I'm shortening game time from 4 quarters of 5 minutes each (20 min total) to 4 quarters of 4 minutes each (16 min total), so I can play them all faster. All this means is that the scoring will probably be lower in 21XX (this season) as compared to 20XX (last year's season).

2. I'm adding in a mercy rule: If a team is leading by 25+ entering the 1 minute warning of the 4th quarter, the leading team is automatically declared the winner, regardless of possession.

3. Because there only 14 teams this season, I'm reducing the playoff field. 20XX had the top 12 teams make the playoffs; Only the top 8 teams will make the playoffs in 21XX. Also, instead of division winners being guaranteed a home game, division winners will be guaranteed a spot, but not a home game.

4. With the playoff field reduction and new mercy rule, I'm changing up the playoff tie-breakers. Last year was this mess:
Quote:
Playoff Tiebreakers (in order): head-to-head, division record (if applicable), quarters won, point differential, turnover differential, coin toss
.
This season is going to be a lot simplier, and to mold something Sack said last season
SackThe_Back wrote:
Sounds cool. Can we get some sort of poll to pick the winner once it starts?
Tie breakers will be as follows:
21XX Playoff Tiebreakers wrote:
1. Head-to-Head sweep/Mercy Rule* (if applicable)
2. Division Record** (only if 2 teams are tied for a division championship)
3. Fan Vote (AKA, y'all on the thread pick it)
4. Coin Toss/Dice Roll^ (only if vote is tied like it was for the 14th team vote)

5. However, even though stats other than the final score won't matter for tie-breaker purposes, that doesn't mean I won't be keeping stats. If fact, in order to please AFLNerd36, I'll be keeping more stats than last year:
stats kept for AFL 20XX wrote:
final score, total yards, yards on offense, quarters won, turnovers

This year:
stats kept for AFL 21XX wrote:
1. Final Score
2. QB stats: passing yards, QB rating, passing touchdowns, interceptions thrown, times sacked
3. Offensive stats: points scored (team) rushing yards (team), receiving yards (player), rushing touchdowns (team), receiving touchdowns (player). & receptions (player)
4. Defensive stats: points allowed (team) defensive stops (team), forced fumbles (player), recovered fumbles (player), sacks (player), interceptions (player), and defensive TD (team)
5. Special teams: kick return yards (player), kick return touchdowns, field goals made, field goal percentage, extra points missed, & bar ball recoveries.

6. I'm also going have a Most Valuable Player using the point system below.
Player of the game (according to the game disc): 1 point (can be earned in a loss)
Player of the game (according to me): 1 point (can be earned in a loss)
Player of the week (according to me): 3 points (can not be earned in a loss)
Max of 5 points per week; player with the most points at the end of the regular season will be named MVP.

To update the off-season post schedule leading up to the start of the 21XX season:

Late February/Early March: full rosters for the teams (player position, player name, and overall rating (2 QB, 1 FB/LB (Jack), 1 WR/LB (Mac), 2 DS, 1 OS, 1 WR/DB, 1 OG/LE, 1 C/NG, 1 TE/RE, 1 Kicker, and Kick Returner per team)

Late March/Early April link to full YouTube video of the Week 1 Arizona @ Grand Rapids game (20xx Arena Bowl rematch, 1st real game of the 21xx season

Late April/Early May 21XX Arena Football League season week 1 preview.

Also, I've edited the January post a little bit (removed the redundant TV stuff).

Hey by any chase, do you have any of the ps2 online rosters on a memory card. I lost my memory card a few years ago and would love to have the official roster update. I'd even buy the memory card if I'm able to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I use xbox for my simulations. I didn't have the game until March 2017 via Ebay and I have never played any Sony console.

Happy President's Day Y'all

I'm going to swap things around... again with my preseason update schedule.

Today (late feburary/early march) will be the upload of the full Week 1 Rattlers @ Rampage game (https://youtu.be/Ux3Yzg9KW9U)

I do have the team rosters listed out, those will be posted in mid March (when I have my spring break), I'll post the preview for week 1 some time in early April, and will have week 1 finished (with my expanded recaps) by the end of April, with the season taking off from there.
