Should the AFL go to a relegation system?

This new developmental league opens the door --- again for an idea that just makes sense: relegation. This would allow ownership to have an entire territory like other franchises and maintain the competitive imperative. It would also serve a 'bus' leagues needs as the league could get by with a 12 game season with 4 to 6 'friendlies' played against teams within driving distance. It just makes sense.

No! They both get a team and they can play at least once a year. One team would be in the first tier and the other in the 2nd. Relegation would be based on status in within the tier and head to head competition.
