Why did the Force fold after only one season? They should have given them at least another season.

I believe the Spurs (who owned the Force) got sold, and the new owners were not interested in running the team.

That's owners for ya!

That was probably similar to the owner of the Detroit Tigers who did not want to waste his time and energy running the Detroit Drive and decided to bid the Drive a nasty adios and focused the rest of his time and energy on the Tigers - or something like that.

Probably should not throw stones at Mike Illich. Without him and his wallet the AFL would have been gone a long, long time ago.

the city of San Antonio at that time committed themselves to the US OLYPMIC FESTIVAL for 1993. There would not have been any venues available for the AFL
