I guess I missed the memo...
Just read in Andy Lopusnak's article that the SaberCats "dumped" Gamboa last week...
| Quote: | | As far as special teams, the team dumped kicker Juan Gamboa last week and will have rookie Jacob Harfman kicking this season. Harfman was the punter and mainly a kickoff specialist for USC. According to Sports-Reference.com, he attempted just one field goal (a miss) and no extra points in college. |

After his performance tonight i can see why they favored him over Gamboa... Hit the wood on kickoff 4 maybe 5 times though we couldn't capitlize on it.
He missed the field goal to win in normal time but everything else he nailed
His onside kick wasn't bad either. |

| I agree. Harfman was hitting the nets all night - even hitting the crossbars a few times. And all the extra points except the one that was a bad snap and converted 2pt by the holder. |

| Was the FG no good because it was over the top of the frame of the slack nets or was it truely wide left? As from my seat in Sec 115, it looked good. |

| Crap!! I will be "Shocked" if we see him in Spokane. That was just bad. 1 or 2 I can see, but not this. 2 of those points back from PATs and the Cats are 2-0. |

If we do see him in Spokane I would assume we don't let the game be decided by his kicks to end the game anymore. Both games he had the chance to end the game with a W at the end of the 4th.. Both were misses.
I was yelling at the TV when i seen Harfman coming out for the game winning field gaol near the 20. IMO we had a much better chance of winning with a TD rather than a FG. I trust Grieb, Nelson, and Roe over any FG kicker. |

| I was ready to tar and feather Harfman too until I remembered the first offensive series of the game where the Cats stopped Utah on downs and then immediately turned the ball over on an interception. An immediate loss of seven points. Had to play catch-up from that point on. |
