Was the retro one really necessary? I mean, the Rush and the Bruisers are not the same team at all. _________________ AF on Twitter | AF on Facebook | AF on GetGlue

| Even as a Rush fan the retro one seems to be a real stretch. Kind of like the Texans using the old Oilers logo |

That's why they had the Titans use it because they really were the Oilers. Meanwhile the Cheifs got to be the Texans to confuse people further.
Hopefully we won't ever see Pittsburgh come out in original Gladiators uniforms considering that the Storm still own those records. _________________ Tampa Bay Storm: 2-1

| Since the Bruisers are defunct, I have no problem with it. Honoring Chicago AFL history, hopefully the jerseys have a retro look to them. |

| Before the "new" AFL bought the trademarks from the "old" AFL, ArenaFootballOne locked up the trademark for the Bruisers, probably as a backup plan in case they didn't win the rights to the Rush name. |

If it was honoring the Chicago AFL history, it would be 25 years NOT 10. |

Well lets see the Rush have been around 10 years, so that's were the 10 comes from. Wearing the Bruisers jerseys/logos would be the honoring of the history, but I know you'll try to argue that it's not... |

Of course I'm partial to the retro logo. Ol' Bruiser (the bulldog) is even sporting his Rush jersey.
Ya it's corny and campy but I still like it - because those were the same qualities of arenaball that caught my attention back in '87.
Arena football will never be mainstream, that's its charm. |

The bullldog would make a much better mascot for the Rush anyway.
Graba$$ is kinda dumb and the bullldog would give the nod to the original team. _________________ http://www.KCFlightCrew.net |

| This bruiser logo makes absolutely zero sense. The Rush is celebrating their tenth season of playing arena football and instead they are honoring the bruisers who have no connection to the rush team? I think this is a slap in the face to everyone, including fans, that they are saying they are honoring the rush. I thought this front office was doing some good things, but I was clearly wrong. More silly decisions by this group. |

It's no different than an NFL team like the NY Jets wearing old NY Titans uniforms.
I like using the old Bruisers logo. It's different and more of a gesture and salute that Arena Football has been around for a long time. I don't see much of a reason to be overly picky about it. |

Except it is different - the Jets were the Titans. The Rush were not the Bruisers.
I don't mind the tribute to area arena football history, but they're definitely mixing and matching anniversaries and teams. Celebrate 10 years of the Rush this year, then celebrate 25 years of Chicago Arena Football next year. |

| I think it's more like "crap, we spent all this money for these intellectual property rights. How can we slap it on some merchandise to make a buck before the fans realize that we're a clueless front office" |

They have already made all that money they spent on that back, and then some. _________________ http://www.KCFlightCrew.net |

Wow, gotta agree with that. What did they do, save all the concept art from when they changed to this logo scheme in the 2001? |

Maybe the Tampa Bay Storm should don the old Pittsburgh Gladiators unis to honor the Gladiators (who played their home games at the old Pittsburgh Civic Arena, later to be renamed Mellon Arena). I liked the Pittsburgh Gladiator helmets. _________________ LEONARD WEIRICH
