Albany Empire Add Former Kicker of the Year

 Six Year Veteran, Adrian Trevino, Joins the Empire for 2019

ALBANY, NY- The Albany Empire announce that former AFL Kicker of the Year, Adrian Trevino, has been assigned to the team. Per League and team rules, terms are not disclosed. The free agency signing period for the Arena Football League began on Monday, March 4.

Adrian Trevino is no stranger to kicking in the Times Union Center as he experienced the electrifying atmosphere last season as a member of the Philadelphia Soul. The former Missouri Valley College kicker debuted indoors in the IFL playing with the Green Bay Blizzard in 2012. Just a year later, the kicker transitioned to the AFL and spent 2013 with the Utah Blaze. After spending 2014 back with the Blizzard, he returned to the AFL and spent 2015-2016 with the Cleveland Gladiators. Trevino joined the Philadelphia Soul in 2017 and was a large part of the team’s ArenaBowl winning season being named AFL Kicker of the Year and First Team All-Arena. Last season, Trevino had another great year with the Soul and was named Second Team All-Arena. In 2018, Trevino led the League with 78 made extra points at a 94 percent clip and also booted the League-long field goal of 34 yards.

EJ Levenberry, linebacker, has been placed on Recallable Reassignment.
