Gray and Jackson have standout performances for the Valor
LAS VEGAS – The Arena Football League has announced that Washington Valor’s wide receiver Reggie Gray and linebacker Alvin Ray Jackson have been named as the offensive and defensive players of the week for Week 6, respectively.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Gray (5’10, 175, Western Illinois) caught 12 receptions for 171 yards and four touchdowns in the Valor’s 42-41 loss to the Baltimore Brigade. The eight-year veteran has 26 catches for 325 yards and seven touchdowns on the season. With his 171 yard game, Gray became the 16th player in AFL history to pass 10,000 career receiving yards.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Jackson (6’1, 200, Albany State) recorded 8.5 total tackles, one tackle for-a-loss, one forced fumble, and one pass break up in his first game with the Valor. Last season, the eight year veteran tallied 56 total tackles, one tackle for-a-loss, four interceptions, four pass break ups, eight passes defended, two forced fumbles, and five fumble recoveries.
