Announce Block Party will turn into Watch Party on South Pearl Street
ALBANY, NY- The Albany Empire announce that this Saturday’s inaugural game vs the back-to-back defending ArenaBowl Champion Philadelphia Soul has been sold out.
“The atmosphere at the Times Union Center is going to be electric,” said head coach Rob Keefe. “Our guys are jacked up and can’t wait to play in front of what we will know be the loudest, craziest fans in the Arena Football League.”
To accommodate fans that were unable to secure a ticket for the game, the pre-game block party presented by Miller Lite and Heineken, initially scheduled to shut down at 6:30pm, will now continue until 7:00pm where it will then turn into the team’s official watch party where they can still be part of the electric atmosphere expected in downtown Albany.
At 7:00pm, the CBS Sports Network national broadcast of the game will be broadcast to the Times Union Center’s brand new 15’ tall by 70’ state-of-the-art video boards that overlook South Pearl Street. Food and Beverage service will continue until the end of the game, which will be approximately 10:00pm, so fans can continue to party on South Pearl Street while watching the game.
“I just want to thank the Capital Region for believing in us” said Vice President of Business Operations, George Manias. “We now have a great problem of not having enough seats in the arena to accommodate all of our fans, so we wanted to create an opportunity for those fans unable to get a ticket to be part of this amazing night in-person.”
For those that were unable to secure a ticket and do not wish to attend the watch party, the game will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network and the team’s official radio partner, Alt 105.7FM. If you do not have the channel, you can go to any Recovery Sports Grill to watch the game.
Tickets for the remaining Empire home games are still available at TheAlbanyEmpire.com. Ticket packages include: pro-rated season tickets, family four packs, group and corporate outing experiences, birthday party packages, Bud Light Party Zone tickets, Pioneer Bank Field Zone tickets, Pepsi Family Zone tickets and single game tickets.
