Storm Hosts "Comic Book Night" Presented By Shriners Hospital For Children

Tampa Bay Storm to take on the Washington Valor on May 20 at AMALIE® Arena
TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Storm will host “Comic Book Night” presented by Shriners Hospital for Children, on Saturday, May 20, when the team takes on the Washington Valor at AMALIE® Arena on AMALIE Motor Oil Field. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
In honor of their favorite comic book characters, all fans in attendance will be able to participate in the Storm’s superhero-themed costume contest, put on by Drew Garabo Live, with special guest judge Drew Garabo. Anyone who wishes to join the contest will be urged to register at section 120. The winner will be announced at halftime on AMALIE Motor Oil Field. Fans will be entered to win several prizes, including a grand prize of $1,000. No prop weapons will be allowed.
The Storm is also offering a special $20 ticket package to its first ever Cowabunga Pizza Party. This package includes a lower level ticket, souvenir bandana and a pre-game screening of the 90s-classic hit “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” The screening starts at 5:00 p.m. and all participants will be able to enjoy the most tubular grub in the world, pizza, courtesy of Little Caesars.
Tampa Bay is sending out a call to all Stormtroopers to help “Storm” the field with a special Star Wars ticket package. This ticket package includes a pre-game on field experience, a limited-edition t-shirt and front of the line access for character photos. The best dressed fan will be able to compete in the Fan Costume Contest. Packages start at just $30.

In game experiences will once again include the Fling-A-Football, presented by Sonny’s BBQ, event at halftime. Those in attendance will be encouraged to “fling” a football at a target that will be placed at mid-field. One winner will receive half of an overall cash pot, with the other half providing tickets for local charity organizations. The Fling-A-Footballs will be available for purchase up until the end of the second quarter at sections 101 and 118 on the promenade level, and section 230 on the club level.
Finally, all fans should go visit the Marvel Universe LIVE! Selfie Station at section 120. Not only will fans be able to take selfies but there will be free superhero face painting and a Star Wars-themed balloon artist.
