Predators strengthen protection with veteran OL CJ Cobb

 ORLANDO – November 25, 2015 – The Orlando Predators have agreed to terms with veteran offensive lineman CJ Cobb, the franchise announced today. Cobb enters his sixth season in the Arena Football League.

“CJ is a veteran player who approaches the game as a professional,” said Head Coach Rob Keefe. “He has outstanding work ethic and puts great effort towards perfecting his craft. We’re excited to add a player with his leadership traits to our locker room.”

Cobb (6-4, 320, Cincinnati) spent the past three seasons with the Cleveland Gladiators. He started all 16 games in which he played in 2015, anchoring a unit that allowed the third-lowest total number of sacks (15) in the AFL. He began his AFL career as a rookie with the Chicago Rush in 2011, where he played his first two seasons.

A native of Jacksonville, Cobb attended Sandalwood High School, where he earned All-League honors and All-Coast Area accolades as a senior in 2006. He played college football at the University of Cincinnati and started all 12 games during his final season, seeing action at right guard and right tackle.
