ORLANDO – November 9, 2015 – The Orlando Predators have agreed to terms with former NFL wide receiver Lestar Jean, the franchise announced today.

Jean (6-3, 220, Florida Atlantic) signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He went on to play three seasons with the franchise, securing 10 receptions for 186 yards, including a 54-yard touchdown. Jean later signed with the Minnesota Vikings prior to the 2014 season.

“Lestar is a big, strong receiver with great hands,” said Head Coach Rob Keefe. “We want to consistently add more players of this magnitude to our roster. He has big time experience in the NFL and brings the kind of work ethic and professional approach that we value. We’re excited to welcome a player of Lestar’s caliber to the Orlando Predators.”

Jean played in every game over his four-year career at Florida Atlantic University, where he finished second in school history in receptions (146) and touchdowns (15) while placing third in receiving yards (1,992). As a senior in 2010, he earned second-team All-Sun Belt Conference accolades and was named the Owls’ Offensive MVP after hauling in 64 passes for 988 yards and eight scores.

A native of Miami, Jean prepped at Miami Norland Senior High School, where he posted 26 receptions for 501 yards and seven touchdowns in his final season. He earned All-County honors as a senior and played in the Dade County North versus South All-Star Game.
