AFL Offseason Begins with Exclusive Period

LAS VEGAS – The 2015-2016 Arena Football League offseason is officially underway with the commencement of the Exclusive Period on October 1, 2015.

During the Exclusive Period, teams can submit contracts for players on their 2015 rosters to remain with the team in 2016. No team may contact a player from another team during this team.

Teams also have the option to extend the contracts of 2015 rookies for one more season. Rookie options must be exercised by 4 p.m. CST on Sunday, October 11.

Open free agency is slated to begin on Monday, October 12. Players who have not been assigned to a team roster or rookies who did not have their options exercised may then sign a contract with any AFL team.
