Shock Kickoff Pre-Game Tailgate Party this Saturday

 Pre-Game tailgating begins at 5:00 p.m. at Spokane Arena

SPOKANE, Washington (May 26, 2015) – The Shock will kick off their all-new Pre-Game Tailgate Party in the north parking lot of Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena at 5:00 p.m. this Saturday, May 30 as Spokane hosts the Arizona Rattlers with a 7:00 p.m. kickoff on ESPN2.

GAME NIGHT INFORMATION

This Saturday’s game is the Shock “Pre-Game Tailgate Kickoff Party” presented by Barton Boys Heating & Air and Hot 96.9 FM radio. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. as the first 5,000 fans to enter Spokane Arena receive Shock fan clappers courtesy of Barton Boys. Post-game party action will be at The Bar at Pizza Pipeline (1403 N Division), all ages are welcome.

PRE-GAME TAILGATE PARTY INFORMATION

Beginning at 5:00 p.m. PT fans will be able to enjoy the all-new tailgating zone in the north parking lot of Spokane Arena. Fans can purchase “Tailgate Zone” parking passes which include two spots for twenty dollars and will be allowed to host their own tailgates that may include barbeques (no briquettes, gas ranges only). Per Washington State law, open containers containing alcoholic beverages are not allowed.

Adjacent to the “Tailgate Zone”, the Shock will be hosting a Coors Light Beer Garden for adults 21 and older which will be serving beer, wine, cider, and snacks. Cash and credit or debit cards will be accepted as forms of payment for beverages.

The YMCA of Spokane will also be hosting a free YMCA Kid’s Zone right next to the beer garden so parents and kids can both enjoy the pre-game festivities. This area for kids will feature an inflatable obstacle course, games, prizes and more!

This area will be staffed by employees of the YMCA and will be free to kid’s for the two hours (5:00-7:00 p.m.) leading up to the game.

For everyone’s entertainment purposes, Hot 96.9 FM will also be hosting a live remote where fans can win tickets to future Shock home games.

Umpqua Bank will also be on-site and handing out free ice cream in the north parking lot from 5:00-6:30 p.m. to fans taking part in the tailgating activities. Ice cream will be available while supplies last.

TAILGATE ZONE RULES AND LIMITATIONS
· Tailgating will begin at approximately 5:00 p.m. in the north parking lot of Spokane Arena.

· Fans can purchase tailgate zone parking passes at the cost of twenty dollars at the Diamond Park booth on-site. The fee will cover two (2) parking spots and coordinated by parking staff on-site.

· Fans are allowed to bring their own barbeques for the tailgate zone as well as food and beverages. Briquette barbeques will not be allowed, gas range units only.

· Per Washington State law, open alcoholic beverages are not allowed in public. Adult beverages will be available in the beer garden area.

· The YMCA Kid’s Zone is FREE for kids from 5:00-7:00 p.m. directly adjacent to the beer garden. This area will be staffed by the YMCA.
