Orlando Adds Former Seventh-Round Draft Pick Justin Anderson

ORLANDO – Feb. 11, 2015 – The Orlando Predators announced today that the franchise has agreed to terms with a former NFL Draft pick in offensive lineman Justin Anderson. Anderson was selected in the seventh round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts.

“Justin is a physically imposing blocker with outstanding size,” said Head Coach Rob Keefe. “He has the skill set needed to provide excellent protection with his combination of length and athletic ability. I’m excited to see how he progresses under our coaching staff.”

As a senior in 2011, Anderson (6-5, 330, Georgia) started all 14 games on the offensive line for the Georgia Bulldogs and received one of the team’s Most Improved Player Awards. He was a Freshman All-SEC selection in 2008 after making seven starts in his first season. Anderson appeared in all 13 games as a sophomore in 2009 and briefly transitioned to the defensive line as a junior in 2010.

A native of Ocilla, Georgia, Anderson was one of the most highly regarded players in the country at Irwin County High School. He was an All-American selection by numerous publications, including USA Today, SuperPrep, and EA Sports. Prior to committing to the University of Georgia, Anderson prepped at Hargrave Military Academy, where he was rated the seventh-best prep prospect in the country.

During his professional career, Anderson spent two seasons with the Colts, as well as a year with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League.

The Orlando Predators 2015 season opener against the Philadelphia Soul is scheduled for 7:00pm on Sunday, March 29 at the Amway Center in downtown Orlando. Tickets are available for purchase by calling 844-455-PRED (7733).
