Predators Add Rookie DL Austin Brown

Tuesday November 4, 2014

ORLANDO – The Orlando Predators have agreed to terms with rookie nose guard Austin Brown, the franchise has announced. Brown enters his first year in the Arena Football League after attending training camp with the Houston Texans this past offseason.

“Austin has the ability to be a disruptive presence on the interior of the defensive line,” said General Manager of Football Operations Michael DiJulio. “He has a unique combination of power and quickness that makes him extremely difficult to block in one-on-one situations. His skill set translates well to the arena game.”

Brown (6-2, 300, Miami-Ohio) was a four-year starter and a two-time team captain during his collegiate career at Miami University (OH). Over 50 games, he registered 167 total tackles with 7.0 sacks, 27.5 tackles for loss, 12 quarterback hurries, five blocked kicks, five pass breakups, and two forced fumbles.
