AFL Free Agency Schedule Set

 Free agency period to begin September 23

CHICAGO – The Arena Football League free agency schedule has been set, the League office announced today.

The AFL offseason officially begins today with the start of the Exclusive Period. During this time, teams may only contact and submit contracts for players from their 2014 rosters. Teams also have until 5:00 p.m. ET on Monday, September 15 to exercise rookie options and keep 2014 first-year players on the roster. The Exclusive Period ends at 5:00 p.m. ET on Monday, September 22.

The Free Agency period then begins at 12:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday, September 23. During this time, players who have not been assigned to a roster, or those rookies who did not have their options exercised, may sign a contract to be assigned to any AFL team.
