SaberCats announce open tryouts for 2011 season

SAN JOSE – The San Jose SaberCats are pleased to announce they will hold an open player tryout on Saturday, September 25 at the team’s practice facility located at 1095 Dunford Way in Sunnyvale, California.
This event is not open to the public and all participants can pre-register before Friday, September 24. All registration forms can be found at thesanjosesabercats.com. The cost of the tryout is $65 for those who pre-register and $75 at the door by check, money order or certified funds only. All fees are non-refundable.
On the day of the tryout, registration will begin at 8:00 am, with the workout starting promptly at 9:00 am.
SaberCats Head Coach Darren Arbet and his staff will be evaluating all players in attendance.
Players will be tested on pro-agility drills. Testing will take place on field turf and tryouts will take place on grass. Metal cleats and track shoes are not permitted. Please bring appropriate workout gear and shoes.
A trainer will be on hand for emergencies only – not for player taping.

The XVI, XVIII and XXI ArenaBowl champion, San Jose SaberCats, return to the Arena Football League for their 15th season starting in 2011.
