Greisen, Moyer and Martin Receive ArenaFan.com Week Five Honors

For their performances during the fifth week of the Arena Football League’s 2008 season, Georgia Force quarterback Chris Greisen, Chicago lineman John Moyer and Grand Rapids Rampage defensive back/kick returner Chris Martin have been named Offensive Player of the Week, Defensive Player of the Week and Two-Way Player of the Week, respectively, by the writers and staff of ArenaFan.com.

Greisen (6.03, 225 lbs., Northwest Missouri State) tossed eight touchdowns in the Force’s 70-49 win over the Utah Blaze. He completed 21-of-32 passes for 248 yards. The Force scored touchdowns on nine of ten offensive possessions (Greisen had one interception).

Others considered for Week Five’s Offensive Player of the Week: Philadelphia Soul QB Matt D’Orazio, Georgia Force WR Tiger Jones and New Orleans VooDoo WR James Jordan

Moyer (6.03, 265 lbs., Eastern Illinois) had three solo tackles, sacked Arizona QB Jeff Smoker twice, intercepted a pass, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble in the Rush’s 59-35 win over the Rattlers.

Others considered for Week Five’s Defensive Player of the Week: Georgia Force defensive back Stephen Cason, New Orleans VooDoo defensive back Lin-J Shell and Dallas Desperados lineman Colston Weatherington.

Martin (5.11, 190 lbs., Washington State) led the Rampage with 8.5 tackles, two pass breakups and a fumble recovery. He also had eight kickoff returns for team records 249 yards and three scores that paced the team to an 84-59 win over Los Angeles.

Other considered for Week Five’s Two-Way Player of the Week: San Jose SaberCats kicker A.J. Haglund.
