OL Craig Heimburger placed on Injured Reserve
CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Gladiators have signed OL Aaron Gibson and placed OL/DL Craig Heimburger on Injured Reserve, the team announced today.
Gibson (6-7, 375, Wisconsin) was a first round draft pick of the Detroit Lions (27th overall) in the 1999 NFL Draft. In six NFL seasons, Gibson appeared in 38 career games, including 34 starts. He most recently spent time with the Chicago Bears from 2002-04, appearing in 20 games including 19 starts. Gibson enters his second season in the Arena Football League after spending time with the Austin Wranglers in 2007.
Heimburger (6-4, 320, Missouri) was injured in the Gladiators game on Sunday, March 9th against the Utah Blaze. Per league policy, Heimburger will be eligible to return to the active roster after four weeks on injured reserve.
