Atlantic City AFL to Announce Official Team Name

Official Team Name, Logo, and Uniform Designs to Be Unveiled at Ovation Hall at Ocean Resort Casino
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ- Atlantic City AFL (AC AFL) announced today that the team will unveil the official name, logo, and uniform designs on March 7 at 6 p.m. at Ovation Hall located in the Ocean Resort Casino; the Official Host Hotel of AC AFL. The reveal event will be open to all season ticket holders, partners, special guests and the media, giving them the first look at the team’s name, logo, and uniform designs.
Of the 1,750 plus name submissions from fans, the top five choices voted on were: Atlantic City Blackjacks, Atlantic City Gamblers, Atlantic City High Rollers, Atlantic City Jackpot, and Atlantic City Royals. The team has been working through process of developing logos, colors, uniform designs, branding elements and the overall identity of the team surrounding the name selection. The official name, logo, and color scheme will be unveiled at the event.
“The time has finally come, and we are ready to announce our team name and identity!” Said George Manias, COO of Atlantic City AFL. “We appreciate everyone’s patience during our due diligence process, and we cannot wait to reveal our brand to the world on March 7. We are very happy and proud of our new name, logo, and colors. Our brand will be synonymous to Atlantic City.”
Those who have secured their season tickets will have access to the press conference and have first glance at the team’s new name and logo. An invitation VIP reception will take place prior to the event from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will include sponsors, prospects and media.
“We can’t wait to add another brand to the Arena Football League family,” said John Adams, President of the Arena Football League. “The seventh is going to be another exciting announcement this off season for the League. It will be fun to see AC wearing their team colors and branding proudly for years to come.”
97.3 ESPN Radio host and voice of AC AFL, Nick Kosko, will be present and report live from the event on the “Sports Bash with Mike Gill.” Kosko will be live on the broadcast periodically between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. covering the unveiling of the new team name and logo.
Ovation Hall is the epicenter for entertainment in Atlantic City. The venue provides everything from a party atmosphere to exciting family friendly events. Ovation Hall features symphony orchestras, comedy shows, various musical acts, and even mixed martial arts events. Ovation Hall is located in the Ocean Resort Casino; the Official Host Hotel of AC AFL.
AC AFL’s inaugural campaign will begin on the road on Saturday, April 27th against the three-time League champions, Philadelphia Soul, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Kickoff time will be announced at a later date. AC AFL will play their first ever home game at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall on Saturday, May 4 against the Columbus Destroyers. Fans can secure their season tickets for the new Atlantic City Arena Football team now with a $50 deposit per seat ($75 for VIP seats) by calling 609-783-9494 or by going to AtlanticCityAFL.com. A team representative will contact those that have submitted a deposit within a week to select your specific seats, which will be done in order in which deposits were received.
