AFL Awards Week 11 Players of the Week

 Richardson and Hollis’ performances lead the Soul over the Valor and pull within one game of first-place

LAS VEGAS – The Arena Football League has announced that Philadelphia Soul’s fullback Jeramie Richardson and defensive back Dwayne Hollis have been named as the offensive and defensive players of the week for Week 11, respectively.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Richardson (6’1, 270, Angelo State) had five rushing attempts for 37 yards and four touchdowns in the Soul’s 63-28 win over the Washington Valor. His four rushing touchdowns are the most in a single game this season. The six-year veteran has 27 rushing attempts for 125 yards and eight touchdowns for 2018. He currently leads the League in rushing yards and is co-leader in rushing touchdowns.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Hollis (5’10, 180, NC Wesleyan) tallied 10 total tackles and one fumble recovery in the Soul’s win over the Valor. The two-year veteran has recorded 51.5 total tackles, seven pass breakups, seven passes defended, and on fumble recovery. Hollis ranks 4th in the League in total tackles.
