Albany Empire Unveil Team Uniforms at Media Day

 Empire Inaugural Game Roster and New Field Turf also Unveiled

ALBANY, NY- The Albany Empire held a media day, presented by Transfinder, for the team on Monday, April 9 from 10am-11am. The event took place in the Times Union Center on the brand new Transfinder Field. Members of ownership, the coaching staff and the front office led a presentation to unveil the final 24-man roster, the brand new turf and team uniforms.

The team unveiled six combinations of uniforms, which included: primary home (blue pant with orange jersey), primary away (orange pant, white jersey), alternate home #1 (orange pant, orange jersey), alternate home #2 (white pant, orange jersey), alternate road #1 (white pant, white jersey) and alternate road #2 (blue pant, white jersey). The uniform combinations were displayed by various members of the team. The Albany Empire’s Dance Team, The Empresses, also unveiled their uniforms at the event.

Transfinder Field will feature fresh green turf with midnight navy blue end zones with the Empire logo at mid field. The walls will be squared off in the corners of the field with brand new navy-blue pads surrounding the field which will be covered in partner signage on game days. The arena will have freshly painted goalposts and brand-new netting behind the end zones.

This was also the media’s first look at the Empire’s 24-man roster leading up to the team’s inaugural game on Saturday, April 14 against the two-time defending champions, Philadelphia Soul. The full inaugural game roster can be found below.

“It’s a beautiful sight seeing everything coming together,” said Rob Keefe, Head Coach of the Albany Empire. “The roster is full of talented players that are hungry to win a championship and there is nothing like playing on fresh new turf with brand-new uniforms. This field looks beautiful, the uniforms are sharp and the whole team is excited for the inaugural game, and to play in a way that will make the Capital Region proud. The guys fought hard during camp and each of them are just eager to get the season underway.”

All day on Tuesday, April 10, the Empire will hold an open house free and open to the public from 9:30am – 7:00pm. Throughout the open house, fans will be able to select which seats they want to witness the season in, or just for the remaining seats available for the inaugural game, as well as have any questions answered by Empire ticket representatives. The Empire will hold their first padded practice on Transfinder Field at 10am. Practice will be open to fans and media giving them a first in-person look at the Empire playing on Transfinder field. Fans will also be able to walk onto the field after practice from 12pm – 7pm and take pictures. Fans can enter the arena at the main atrium off of South Pearl Street.
