More Champion Players Sign with Soul

Group Includes ArenaBowl XXX MVP Darius Prince
PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Soul today announced that the following returning players have been assigned to the 2018 roster by the Arena Football League: Dwayne Hollis (DB), Darius Prince (WR), Neal Tivis (OL), Keith Newell (OL), and Phillip Keith Manley (OL).
“We’ve had another great day of Free Agency so far,” said Head Coach Clint Dolezel. “We are excited for more of our veteran players and some new guys coming in and are looking forward to a competitive training camp.”
During his time with the Soul, Hollis collected 169 tackles, 23 pass break-ups, two forced fumbles and 16 interceptions for 230 yards and five touchdowns. In ArenaBowl XXX, Hollis picked off Tampa Bay Storm Quarterback Randy Hippeard to seal the team’s victory and was awarded First Team All-Arena honors.
In his rookie season, Prince took home ArenaBowl XXX MVP honors, as he played a key part in the Soul’s win over the Tampa Bay Storm with two touchdown receptions. Prince has had previous stints with the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks, Sioux Falls Storm, and Cleveland Gladiators.
Tivis, who is entering his fifth season with the Soul, started in 17 games on the offensive line for the Soul in 2015 and was named Second Team All-Arena at his position in 2016.
Newell appeared in three games with three starts as a guard. Before the Soul, Newell appeared in 14 games with 10 starts with the Pittsburgh Power (2014). Newell attended Delaware State University.
The Soul also welcome Fullback Adrian Ferns. Before joining the Soul, Ferns made his professional debut in the China Arena Football League as a member of the Shenzhen Naja. In 2016, he ranked third in total rushing yards for the CAFL. He attended Chowan University in North Carolina where he broke the all-time rushing record.
The Soul also welcome Offensive Lineman Philipkeith Manley. He is entering his third AFL season and has had stints with the Cleveland Gladiators, Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Falcons. He graduated from the University of Toledo.
