Brigade Look For Second-Straight Win Over League-Leading Soul

 Baltimore returns to Royal Farms Arena to host Philadelphia

The Brigade return to Royal Farms Arena this weekend, looking to earn consecutive victories over the league-leading Philadelphia Soul. The matchup kicks off Sat., July 29 at 1 p.m. and will be broadcast live on Monumental Sports Network. Baltimore won the teams’ last meeting, 49-42, on July 8, behind 271 passing yards and six total touchdowns from QB Shane Carden.

BRIGADE PLAYER TO WATCH: DL/LB ROBERT HAYES – With six total sacks in his last three games, including three last weekend against the Valor, Hayes now ranks second in the league in tackles for loss (10) and fourth in sacks (7) this season. The third-year AFL vet is one of three players this season to tally three sacks in a single game. Hayes has played well against the Soul this season, recording a sack in two of his three matchups against Philadelphia.

SOUL PLAYER TO WATCH: WR DARIUS REYNOLDS – Reynolds is the primary playmaker for a Philadelphia offense that leads the league in scoring by 6.5 points per game. Reynolds ranks second in the league in receiving yards (1,102), receiving touchdowns (32) and fourth in total receptions (74). Reynolds been a force in each of his last two games against the Brigade – going for eight catches, 105 yards and three touchdowns in Week 6 and eight catches for 115 yards and two touchdowns in Week 15.

MATCHUP TO WATCH: BRIGADE WR BRANDON THOMPKINS VS. SOUL DB JAMES ROMAIN – In his last six games, Thompkins has scored seven touchdowns through the air, including one against the Soul in Week 15. In addition to the threat he poses in the receiving game, Thompkins also ranks second in the league in yards per kickoff return – just under 21 yards per attempt. DB James Romain leads the Soul defense – tallying 68.5 total tackles and five interceptions, each of which lead the league.
