Brigade Host Storm Looking For Third-Straight Win

 Baltimore looks to slow down high-scoring Tampa Bay offense Saturday at Royal Farms Arena

Now on their first winning streak of the season, the Brigade look to carry their momentum into this weekend’s matchup with the Tampa Bay Storm, set for Sat., July 15 at 7 p.m. at Royal Farms Arena. The Storm have taken each of the teams’ previous two matchups, including a 62-55 thriller in Baltimore on May 7, which featured 357 yards and six touchdowns from Brigade QB Shane Carden.

BRIGADE PLAYER TO WATCH: QB SHANE CARDEN – In his two games against the Storm this season, Carden has thrown for a combined 625 yards, 11 touchdowns and just one interception. The AFL rookie ranks second in the league in completion percentage (65.1) and passing yards per game (268.4) and ranks third in passing touchdowns per game (5.3) and passer rating (114.5).

STORM PLAYER TO WATCH: QB RANDY HIPPEARD – Hippeard leads the league in every major passing category. Hippeard ranks first in completions (290), attempts (429), completion percentage (67.6), yards (2,995), touchdowns (68), passer rating (120.3) and has thrown the fewest interceptions (7) among QBs who have played 10 games or more.

MATCHUP TO WATCH: BRIGADE DB JOSH VICTORIAN VS. STORM WR JOE HILLS – Victorian enters the game having registered four-or-more solo tackles in five of his last six outings and ranks fifth in the AFL in total tackles (45.5). Across the line of scrimmage will be one of the most prolific wide receivers in the league, Joe Hills, who has 21 more receptions than any other wideout and leads the AFL in receiving touchdowns per game (3.0).
