Shaun Kauleinamoku Seeks Back to Back Championships
PHILADELPHIA – The 2016 ArenaBowl Champion Philadelphia Soul today announced that WR Shaun Kauleinamoku (5’9, 185, Western Oregon) has returned to the 2017 roster. This will be SK’s third season with the Soul and seventh with the AFL.
“I am thrilled to welcome SK back to the Soul,” said Soul head coach Clint Dolezel. “He is a playmaker and with his return, we have all of the pieces we need to make another championship run.”
In just two seasons with the Soul, Kauleinamoku totaled 169 receptions, for 2,342 yards and 47 touchdowns. He was also awarded MVP for his performance in ArenaBowl XXIX, tallying eight receptions for 110 yards and three touchdowns.
Prior to his time with the Soul, ‘SK’ was a member of the Pittsburgh Power in 2014 and recorded 124 receptions, 1,359 yards and 19 touchdowns. He spent time with both the San Antonio Talons and Utah Blaze in 2012 and totaled 74 receptions, for 880 yards and 16 touchdowns.
The Soul kick off the 2017 season in Tampa Bay as they take on the Storm on Saturday, April 15. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on CBS Sports.
