Soul Stars Ready for Another Championship Run

PHILADELPHIA
– The Arena Football League today announced that All-Arena WR Darius “Money” Reynolds (6’2, 205, Iowa State) and DB LaRico Stevenson (5’10, 205, West Georgia) have been assigned to the Philadelphia Soul 2017 roster. This is Reynolds’ second season and Stevenson’s sixth with the Soul.

“Darius is a gamechanger,” said Soul head coach Clint Dolezel. “He is next to impossible to defend. He is big, strong and fast, and catches anything near him. You need a guy like Darius to separate yourself from being a good team to a great team.”

Reynolds led the Soul receiving core last season with 112 receptions for 1,447 yards and 38 touchdowns. In his career, he has totaled 337 receptions for 4,575 yards and 104 touchdowns as well as 42 rushes for 43 yards and 15 touchdowns.

“LaRico was an integral piece to last year’s championship season,” said Dolezel. “He is a savvy veteran that leads in the locker room and by example on the field. His addition secures what we believe is the best secondary in the league.”

In his five seasons with the Soul, Stevenson has compiled 259.0 total tackles, 29 pass break-ups, five forced fumbles and 14 interceptions for a total of 121 yards. In his career, he has totaled 400.0 total tackles, 48 pass break-ups, six forced fumbles and 19 interceptions for 146 yards.
