ampa Bay acquires wide receiver LaMark Brown and offensive lineman Dave Lefotu

TAMPA BAY
– The Tampa Bay Storm has acquired wide receiver LaMark Brown and offensive lineman Dave Lefotu announced Storm vice president of football operations Jeff Gooch.

“LaMark is a playmaker,” said Gooch. “He embraced his role with the Predators last season and we hope to see him expand his game with the Storm. We’re looking forward to seeing him get out there and compete on the field.”

Brown (6-foot-4, 225 lbs., Minnesota St. – Mankato) joins the Storm after spending the past two seasons with the Orlando Predators. The two-year veteran started in 7-of-8 games for Orlando last season, catching 41 passes for 1,146 yards and five touchdowns.

For his career, Brown started in 14-of-19 games with the Predators and reeled in 81 passes for 981 yards and 13 touchdowns. A two-way player, Brown has also recorded 21.0 tackles and a fumble recovery.

The Hazelwood, MO native began his professional career in 2012 when he was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League.

The team also acquired offensive lineman Dave Lefotu.

“Dave brings a big body to the offensive line,” said Gooch. “We struggled to protect our quarterback last season and felt we needed to address those issues. We believe that Dave fits that need.”

Lefotu (6-foot-3, 320 lbs., Hawaii) enters his rookie season with the Storm. He played four seasons at Hawaii and appeared in 44 games, making 24 starts. Lefotu was a member of the 2010 team that won the Western Athletic Conference Championship.

The Waipahu, HI native has experience playing in various indoor football leagues.

The Five-Time World Champion Tampa Bay Storm will enter its 30th season in the Arena Football League in 2017.
