TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Storm has acquired wide receiver and kick returner Michael Lindsey, announced vice president of football operations Jeff Gooch.
“Michael has the ability to play in all phases of the game,” said Gooch. “His capacity to play on offense, defense and special teams makes him a valuable asset that any team would love to have. We’re glad he is back with the Storm.”
Lindsey (6-foot-1, 218 lbs., Northwestern Mississippi) joins Tampa for his sixth season in the blue and gold.
“What a great feeling to be back with the Storm,” said Lindsey. “I started my career in Tampa and I’m looking forward to seeing what the future brings.”
The Boca Ciega H.S. product joined the Storm in 2011 and saw immediate action at both the wide receiver and kick returner positions. As the team’s primary kick returner, Lindsey would go on to set the team’s single season kickoff return yards record as a rookie with 1,745 yards. Lindsey holds three of the top season performances as a kickoff returner.
