Cleveland's Ross named GEICO Rookie of the Year

Marvin Ross Becomes First Gladiator to Win the Award
LAS VEGAS (August 15, 2016) – The Arena Football League Office announced today that Cleveland Gladiators defensive back Marvin Ross has been named GEICO Rookie of the Year.
Ross (5-11, 180, Florida A&M) had a spectacular rookie debut tallying 84.5 total tackles, 24 pass-break ups, 30 passes defended, two forced fumbles, and six interceptions. Ross returned the six interceptions for 97 yards and three touchdowns; tying him for first in interceptions returned for touchdowns on the season. The second consecutive defensive back to be named AFL Rookie of the Year, Ross is now the fourth defensive player in AFL history to win the award. Ross is the first Cleveland Gladiator to be named Rookie of the Year.
