Tuesday July 19, 2016

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Sharks announced Tuesday that Sharks’ Line Coach Bob Landsee will be the Interim Head Coach for the remainder of the 2016 regular season and playoffs.

Landsee began his coaching career in the AFL as the offensive line coach with the Milwaukee Mustangs in 1999. He then went on to coach for the Toronto Phantoms (2002) and the Indiana Firebirds (2003). He returned to the AFL as the Head Coach of the Milwaukee Iron in 2010 where the team finished 11-5. That season, the Iron lost in the National Conference Championship game to the Spokane Shock who went on to win ArenaBowl XXIII.

In 2005, he became the Head Coach of the Green Bay Blizzard of the af2 League and coached there in 2005-06 and again in the 2008-09 seasons. He finished his af2 coaching career with a 45-28 record while leading the Blizzard to ArenaCup VII in 2006.

Landsee attended the University of Wisconsin and earned All-American and All-Big Ten honors as a center before being drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the sixth round of the 1986 NFL Draft. He played for the Eagles for two seasons, but a knee injury ended his NFL playing career in 1987.
