Thursday May 19, 2016

OFFICIAL PARTNERSHIP INCLUDES HOLDING A MAKE-A-WISH DAY AT THE LA KISS HOME GAME ON JUNE 5TH WHERE A PORTION OF THE TICKETS SALES FROM THE GAME WILL BE DONATED

Los Angeles, CA (May 19th, 2016) – The LA KISS announced today an official partnership with Make-A-Wish® Orange County and the Inland Empire. The partnership includes holding a Make-A-Wish Day on Sunday, June 5th, when the LA KISS face off against the Orlando Predators at home. A portion of the ticket sales from that day’s game will also be donated to Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire along with honoring a local community member or organization who has been instrumental in granting kid’s wishes.

“We are honored to partner with such an exceptional organization like Make-A-Wish, that impacts so many families and children in our community,” said LA KISS CEO, Joe Windham. “We hope everyone can join us on June 5th for not only a great LA KISS game but also to support our local chapter of Make-A-Wish.”

On June 5th, all Make-A-Wish children and their families will be invited to attend the game where there will be activities prior and during the game along with a half-time BMX team performing stunts for the whole family to enjoy. We will also be selecting a Make-A-Wish child to deliver the game ball and have the honor of doing the coin toss before the game. Lastly, Make-A-Wish kids will be integrated into many other aspects throughout the game.

“Make-A-Wish is grateful for the support of LA KISS and their dedication to helping us grant more wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions,” said Stephanie McCormick, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish® Orange County and the Inland Empire. “This game will be a great opportunity for the team and fans to learn more about Make-A-Wish and give our children a once in a lifetime experience.”

As part of the partnership, the LA KISS will also be participating in the organization’s Wishes In Flight® program, where people can donate their frequent flier airline miles to help make travel wishes come true. Once donated, airline miles never expire and can help give a child and their family a life-changing wish experience. The LA KISS will also reward those that decide to donate their frequent flier miles or give a cash donation by giving out special LA KISS gifts and a ticket for a chance to receive a special gift during the game. There will be two Make-A-Wish donation tables setup on the main level at Honda Center at the Southeast and Northeast entrances of the building.
