Sharks Add Offensive Lineman Ryan Cave

Fifth-year veteran played with Orlando Predators in 2015
JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Sharks announced Monday that the team has made an addition along the offensive line, as veteran offensive lineman Ryan Cave has been assigned to the Jacksonville roster. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 27-year-old Cave (6’5”, 335) is set to begin his fifth season in the Arena Football League. Most recently, Cave spent the 2015 season with the Orlando Predators, where he saw action in 16 regular-season games. Primarily spending his time at center, Cave also caught two passes for 18 yards and touchdown as an eligible tight end. Cave’s work in pass protection and run blocking helped Orlando finish third in the League with an average of 56.8 points scored per game.
Before heading to Orlando, Cave spent three seasons with the Spokane Shock. He displayed his versatility by playing all three positions along the offensive line during his time with Spokane. Limited to just seven appearances in 2014, Cave logged 15 starts in 2013 and saw action in 14 games as a rookie in 2012. Over the course of his four-year AFL career, Cave has caught a total of eight passes for 74 yards and three touchdowns.
Prior to the start of his professional career, Cave made 38 appearances during his stay at Hampton University. Cave is a native of Beaufort, South Carolina.
