Tampa Bay acquires offensive lineman Isaiah Shelton and wide receiver Terrence Ebagua

TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Storm has acquired offensive lineman Isaiah Shelton announced Storm Vice President of Football Operations Jeff Gooch.

“Isaiah is the type of player that we believe will help us better protect the quarterback,” said Gooch. “He is a big body and has a skill level that will help him succeed at the next level. We look forward to seeing him come out and compete.”

Shelton (6-foot-2, 303 lbs., Shepherd University) joins the Storm for his rookie season in the Arena Football League. The Temple Hills, Maryland native played three seasons for Shepherd University. The former Ram was a two-time All-American and a three-time All-Mountain East Conference selection. In his senior season, he was the leader of an offensive line that averaged 38.2 points per game. In 2014 he was selected as an American Football Coaches Association Division II All-American.

The team also acquired wide receiver Terrence Ebagua.

“Terrence is a talented receiver that has the ability go after the ball,” said Gooch. “His frame will provide a big target for our quarterbacks, which will only help to bolster our offense.”

Ebagua (6-foot-6, 230 lbs., Florida State) enters his rookie season in the Arena Football League with the Storm. The former Seminole was a walk-on tight end at Florida State. He has several years of indoor football experience including a breakout year in 2015 where he was named the Professional Indoor Football League MVP. Ebagua caught 71 passes for 1,070 yards and 26 touchdowns, helping lead the Columbus Lions to the 2015 PIFL Championship.
