Preds bring back All-Arena LB Terence Moore, Add rookie DB Schon Thomas

 ORLANDO – December 14, 2015 – The Orlando Predators agreed to terms on a new contract with All-Arena linebacker Terence Moore and added rookie defensive back Schon Thomas to the secondary, the franchise announced today.

Moore (6-2, 225, Troy) earned Second Team All-Arena accolades in his first season with the Predators after leading the team with five interceptions, including two that were returned for touchdowns. He also returned one​ of his two fumble recoveries for a touchdown, giving him three defensive scores on the season. He added 81.5 total tackles with 10 pass breakups and two forced fumbles.

“Terence has a knack for causing turnovers and is a consistent game-changer on both defense and special teams,” said Head Coach Rob Keefe. “He brings tremendous focus and work ethic to the field every day. We’re looking forward to seeing him take his leadership abilities to the next level to set the tone for our team.”

Prior to joining the Predators, Moore spent his first three seasons with the Spokane Shock. Over his four total seasons in the Arena Football League, he has registered 284 tackles with 1.5 sacks and six stops for loss while adding 17 interceptions, 16 fumble recoveries, 20 pass breakups and eight forced fumbles. He has delivered 15 touchdowns on defense and also scored four times as a situational goal-line back on offense.

A native of Columbus, Georgia, Moore played collegiately at Troy University. As a senior, he earned All-Sun Belt Conference accolades after collecting 71 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, six interceptions, three pass breakups, one forced fumble and one quarterback hurry.

Schon Thomas (5-11, 190, Jacksonville) played college football at Jacksonville University, where he delivered 102 total tackles with 7.5 stops for loss, three interceptions, 20 pass breakups, two fumble recoveries and a blocked kick in his career. He earned All-Pioneer Football League accolades as a senior.

A Florida native, Thomas attended Dunbar High School in Fort Myers.
