Soul acquire Jeramie Richardson

Wednesday December 9, 2015

PHILADELPHIA- The Arena Football League today announced that FB Jeramie Richardson (6’1, 270, Angelo State) has been acquired by the Philadelphia Soul. The four-year veteran fullback and also defensive lineman joins the Soul roster after a strong season with the Cleveland Gladiators in 2015.

“We are excited to have a player of Jeramie’s caliber on our roster this season,” says Soul General Manager Phil Bogle. “His versatility will be a great addition to our consistently strong offensive and defensive lines and I look forward to seeing what he can do at training camp.”

Richardson recorded 28 rushes for 93 yards and seven touchdowns offensively and 18 unassisted tackles, one sack, and two forced fumbles defensively with the Gladiators last season. Prior to his time in Cleveland, Richardson played defensive line for the San Antonio Talons in 2014, recording 29 tackles and five sacks. He split time between the New Orleans VooDoo and Orlando Predators in 2013, totaling 18 rushes for 32 yards and four touchdowns. He again played for the Gladiators in 2012 and had 22 rushes for 49 yards and 14 touchdowns. Defensively he recorded 15 unassisted tackles, 1.5 sacks and one pass break-up.

Richardson played for Angelo State University as a member of their defensive line from 2005-08.
