Sharks to hold Open Tryout Dec. 19

 JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Sharks announced Wednesday that the team will hold an open player tryout the morning of Saturday December 19th. This year’s tryout will take place at Lanier County High School in Lakeland, Georgia.

Registration for the tryout begins at 9:00 a.m. and the workout is set to start at 10:00 a.m. The tryout will conclude once each player has been properly evaluated by the Sharks coaching staff. The field is located at 52 W Patten Avenue in Lakeland, Georgia 31635.

Those wishing to participate in the tryout must complete the 2016 Tryout Packet which will be provided on the day of the tryout. Players will be asked to complete a tryout packet at the tryout along with making a payment of $50. Payments must be in cash only; a credit card or money order will not be accepted.

This tryout will consist of a combination of drills, including the 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle and various position-specific drills. Please note players must wear appropriate attire and footwear for both natural grass and artificial turf surfaces.

The tryout is open to anyone over the age of 18 who has completed high school and is not currently under contract with any professional football team.
