In Preparation for Week 9, Philadelphia Adds Changes to Roster

PHILADELPHIA (May 18, 2015) – The Philadelphia Soul (7-1) announce changes to their roster as the team begins to prepare for the upcoming game against the Tampa Bay Storm (3-4) on Saturday, May 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the Amaile Arena. These modifications come after an upsetting loss to the Jacksonville Sharks (3-5) on May 16, resulting in some injuries of key players.

Activating from Other League Exempt is WR Tyron Goard, (6-4, 195, Eastern Kentucky) who was released from the CFL’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers. WR Harvey Binford (6-0, 185, Lindenwood) is being placed on Recallable Waivers and OL Keith Newell (6-6, 310, Delaware State) is moving to Injured Reserve. WR Lonnie Outlaw (6-6, 217, Miles) is being activated from Injured Reserve and OL Daverin Geralds (6-2, 305, Mississippi) is being activated from Refuse to Report. FB Tommy Taggart (6-3, 275, Oklahoma) and DB Dwayne Hollis (5-10, 180, NC Wesleyan) are being added to the Inactive Reserve.

"This time of year, you will see teams make a couple of tweaks to the roster due to injury or situations," Soul head coach Clint Dolezel said. "This is no different for us as we try to adjust to injuries and match-up with what we have in the upcoming weeks."

The Soul will face the Storm on Saturday, May 23 at 7:30 p.m. and then return home to take on the Las Vegas Outlaws (3-4) in the first ever Boardwalk Bowl located at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ.
