Fox Sports 1280 AM to Air "VooDoo Witching Hour"

Sunday March 22, 2015

NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans VooDoo and Fox Sports Radio 1280 AM will air a weekly live-on-location radio show this season known as the "VooDoo Witching Hour." Fans can catch the hour-long show every Tuesday night during game weeks, starting at 6:00 p.m. on Fox Sports 1280 AM, and online at foxsportsam1280.com.

The VooDoo Witching Hour will feature audience participation, special guests, players, VooDoo Dolls and coaches while being broadcast from four different locations throughout the course of the season: Union Station Bar & Grill, Bamboula's & Frenchmen Theatre, Fiorella's Café, and The Docks of Slidell.

"We are very fortunate to be able to take the VooDoo Witching Hour on tour around the metro New Orleans area, giving fans in different areas a chance to come out and meet VooDoo players, coaches and staff," said General Manager Brandon Rizzuto. "We have a location in the Warehouse District, French Quarter, Marigny and across the lake in Slidell, which gives fans all across the area a chance to come be a part of the show."

The first show of the 2015 season will be at Union Station Bar & Grill on Tuesday, March 24 in the Warehouse District. VooDoo play-by-play announcer Ken Trahan will serve as the host of the show, while VooDoo General Manager Brandon Rizzuto will fill-in for Trahan on occasion.

Every show will have feature at least one VooDoo player guest, Head Coach Dean Cokinos, a media member of the opposing team, and other guests from VooDoo's past.

"I would like to personally thank Popeclown for making this happen for us," said Rizzuto. "Popeclown is a true fan of our organization and has stuck by us through tough times. His help in getting this partnership finalized is just another example of his commitment to the success and longevity of the VooDoo."
