CHICAGO – The Arena Football League (AFL) is pleased to announce the recent hiring of front office executives Araxie Grant and Eric Sterite. Grant has been hired as the AFL’s Vice President of Finance and Controller while Sterite will serve as the League’s Vice President of Corporate Partnerships.

Grant most recently worked as an assistant controller in the Shared Services Department at Las Vegas Sands Corporation, the world’s largest gaming company, where she oversaw and managed the financial close process for the Venetian Las Vegas Casino Hotel & Resort and the Palazzo Resort Hotel & Casino. A Certified Public Accountant, Grant earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, graduating Magna Cum Laude in both programs. As the newly appointed Vice President of Finance and Controller for the AFL, Grant will provide accounting guidance and support for the League, and focus heavily on budgeting, planning, and strategy for operational finance.

Sterite has spent the majority of his professional career living and working in emerging market countries and will be bringing his unique skill set to the Arena Football League. A graduate of Norwich University and the military college’s structured Corps of Cadets program, Sterite comes to the AFL from Oxford Business Group (OBG), a London based research and consultancy, where he worked directly with foreign governments and their private sector companies to create investment guides and marketing campaigns to attract much needed foreign direct investment (FDI). He has led multicultural sales and research teams in several emerging market countries, primarily in the Middle East, Africa and Asia where the investment guides he produced with OBG drew millions in sponsorship and advertising revenue. His work with the AFL will focus on driving the continued growth and exposure of the League through corporate partnerships.
