Tampa Bay acquires former Chicago Bears offensive lineman Cory Brandon
TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Storm has acquired offensive lineman Cory Brandon, announced Storm vice president of football operations Jeff Gooch.
“Cory brings added protection for the quarterback,” said Gooch. “He has spent the past four seasons in the National Football League and we will rely on his experience to help elevate the play of the offensive line.”
Brandon (6-foot-7, 317 lbs., Oklahoma) joins the Storm after spending the past four seasons in the National Football League. The former Sooner standout began his professional career in 2011 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted rookie free agent. He spent the 2012 and 2013 seasons with the Chicago Bears and was most recently with the Seattle Seahawks.
Prior to turning pro Brandon played collegiately at the University of Oklahoma. He saw action in 30 games on the offensive line for the Sooners playing at the right and left tackle positions.
