AFL Announces Members of Hall of Fame Operating Board of Directors

CHICAGO – The Arena Football League has announced the members of this year’s Arena Football Hall of Fame Operating Board of Directors.
The selection process for this year’s Hall of Fame Class began in June, when the Arena Football Hall of Fame Advisory Board narrowed the list of eligible candidates down to ten finalists. Fans have had the opportunity to vote throughout the months of June and July, while current Arena Football Hall of Fame members submitted their official ballots during the final week of the 2014 regular season. All votes will soon be turned in to the Hall of Fame Operating Board of Directors, who will officially determine the 2014 Arena Football Hall of Fame Class.
The 2014 Arena Football Hall of Fame Operating Board of Directors consists of: Darren Arbet, a three-time ArenaBowl champion coach; Ben Bennett, who led three different teams to five ArenaBowls in 10 seasons as an AFL quarterback; Mike Dailey, a two-time ArenaBowl champion coach; Jim Foster, the inventor of Arena Football; Jay Gruden, a six-time ArenaBowl champion as both a player and coach; Jerry Kurz, a founding partner of the Arena Football League and current AFL Commissioner; and Bill Niro, a founding partner of the Arena Football League and member of the Arena Football Hall of Fame.
The formal Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held during the 2015 Arena Football League season.
